Terrific TS

My nephew TS was a little tougher subject than his sister. His pictures are much more candid since he is often hard to catch.

Sweet Sadie

I got to take my niece's picture over spring break. We had lots of fun and got some good pictures too!

Texas Bluebonnets

Springtime in Texas brings beautiful wildflowers. We found these a few miles away from Washington-on-the-Brazos.

Ironically, these were the only bluebonnet pictures that turned out. Between a failed trip to the Blue Bell Creamery, fire ants, and unsupervised little meanies at the playground, I guess we were lucky that we managed to get these pictures. Sorry girls; maybe next year we won't take pictures in the middle of a fire ant bed!

Spring Break Plans

One more day before Spring Break! We're all counting down--well, maybe not Cody since he doesn't get the week off! We are very excited because my sister and her family are coming to see us. Josie and Jake are already planning all the fun things they want to do with their cousins.

I've also been thinking of what fun things we can do while they are here. We're thinking of taking the kids to the Blue Bell Creamery in Brenham.

Today, one of my favorite websites showed a very fun recipe that I want to try next week with Laura to help. They are called Cake Balls! The ingredients consist of cake mix, frosting, and chocolate bark. Three of my favorite things together; how can you go wrong?

What are your plans for Spring Break?

Rodeo Day

Friday was Go Texan Day. To celebrate the opening of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, people in the Houston area wear there boots and jeans and hats. This is a humorous day for those of us who grew up where people actually wear these clothes on a regular basis. It always makes me smile to see people in their fancy, one-day-a-year boots, scarves and hats. Jake had a great time at school on Friday. He came home with a very cool vest and horse hat. The pictures don't really show how cute he looked in his cowboy duds.

5 Things About Our Life

1. TAKS is tomorrow. Good luck to Chaz, Sawyer, Sadie, Amy, Matt, and all the other kids who are testing! (Grayson and Austin, I don't think you are taking anything tomorrow, but if you are, Good luck!)
2. Josie has almost mastered her back walkover and is still working on her back handspring.
3. Jake came home singing a song about "A, E, I, O, and U" today. I'm amazed by all the things he is learning!
4. Cody is busy, busy, busy! Maybe someday he'll be able to slow down a little.
5. I am drowning in TAKS testing and laundry, but Spring Break is in sight!
