Spinners

Josie had her Parent Show today. She is on a cheer and hip hop team.
We were a little nervous about hair and makeup, so we recruited Amy to help.

We got to watch Emma and her team perform today, too.

Watch out, Daddy! Josie's wearing makeup!

Jake Hunter

Jake's middle name is very fitting. He has been going bow hunting with Daddy the last few weeks. Tonight, he was telling me about some of the deer they saw. He told me they saw several does and also one big one with horns.

I asked, "What are the ones with horns called?"

He looked at me like I was crazy and said, "Deer."

35 Things?

I have read several blogs that make a 35 Things List. I think it would be fun to make my own list. Right now the only thing on my list is:

1.) Finish my masters.

I can't seem to go beyond this one, but in two weeks, I will be done!

What would you put on your list?

Little Pumpkins

We had Fall Family Fun Night on Friday at school. My job was to take pictures.

This was a very fun job, especially with this little cutie!

My own little pumpkin was a little less cooperative!

Pumpkins look like they would taste pretty good.

Our newest game

Here are the rules:

Put the baby doll stroller on the other side of the living room.
Take turns throwing the ball, trying to make it into the stroller.
You must throw overhanded.
1 point for hitting the stroller.
2 points for making it into the seat.
You automatically win if you make it into the basket under the seat.
The first one to 10 points wins the game.
We can play this game for hours. Maybe it's because we are just easily amused. Maybe it's because we haven't seen sunshine in a week

Heard around our house

"I have something in my pants."

(It turned out to be corn.)

"Daddy, where do you think we can get our hands on $600?"

(Josie is trying to plan a trip to Happy that doesn't include riding in a car for 10 hours.)
